DANE-ELEC SALES REPORTS RESULTS FOR THE
SECOND FISCAL QUARTER OF 2000

Irvine, CA., July 24, 2000 -- Dane-Elec, a worldwide memory manufacturer, today reports an increase of 77.5% in sales compared to the same period in 1999. For the second fiscal quarter of 2000, Dane-Elec reported net sales of $85.4 million. As a result, consolidated sales of the Group over the first half-year went over the one hundred and fifty million dollar mark for the first time at $172.7 million, up by 49.3% on the previous year.

This marked acceleration in the level if activity of the Group has taken place within a bullish market. It should translate as early as 30th June into strong profit growth compared with previous years.
