DANE-ELEC, WORLDWIDE MEMORY MANUFACTURER NOW OFFERS 256MB COMPACTFLASH™ MEMORY CARD Irvine, CA., November 7, 2000 -- Dane-Elec Corp. today announced the availability of 256MB CompactFlash™ memory card. Ideal for portable music players, smart phones and digital cameras, CompactFlash™ cards are available in 8MB, 16MB, 32MB, 64MB, 96MB, 128MB, 192MB and 256MB. Dane-Elec’s new 256MB CompactFlash™ Type I card uses Dane-Elec’s proprietary Stacking Technology. Applications suitable for the Type I card include Digital Still Cameras, MP3 players, hand-held computers, and other portable devices. OEMs like Canon, RCA, Olympus and others have already begun to incorporate the Type I CompactFlash™ slot into their devices or offer other unique designs like a SmartMedia and CompactFlash™ slot in the same device. The CompactFlash™ card is a very small removable mass storage device that is 3.3mm thick and has 50 pins. They provide complete PCMCIA-ATA functionality and compatibility plus true IDE functionality compatible with ATA/ATAPI-4. The CompactFlash™ card can easily be slipped into a Type I adapter and USB card reader. CompactFlash™ features the latest in high-density technology and has a life-time warranty.
